The healthcare sector in the Gaza Strip is suffering from a shortage of resources and medical supplies, with a reported 42% shortage of essential drugs in the Ministry of Health, according to official sources. In a time when families in Gaza are unable to afford basic healthcare, patients with illnesses, injuries, and disabilities face inadequate medical services. They often have to choose between medical treatment and their basic daily needs. The crisis in Gaza in 2021 has exacerbated the health and economic situation. According to a report by the Chamber of Commerce, the poverty rate among the population has increased to 80%. Haifa Association for the Palestinian Family Care has promptly fulfilled its humanitarian duty by providing healthcare projects, including a project to supply medical consumables. The project has benefited many affected and needy families who were unable to access appropriate treatment due to economic hardships.
